The Battle
The title might seem exaggerated, and I admit it is by no means the best. It was more of an impulse to name it so, and my god, what an impulse it was! The mere frequency with which one might find themselves in the ‘state’ makes you question- “ is it worth it?”
I have been in the state many times, whenever I got rejected by the companies for intern or placements, got heartbroken, or as simple as getting bad grades… You get of what I am talking about. Seemingly simple causes that have a complex chain of events following them. And the sheer negligence of the state and societal construct of hailing the victorious and oppressing the oppressed makes getting out of that low feeling even harder. I could discuss more of it, but I’ll take it up some other time.
The following is one of many unheard yet spoken voices of such individuals who are in a battle they think they’re losing but little do they realize that their struggle is making them stronger.
“To do my work, silently but not compromising in the efforts. To have expectations and desires but never to disclose them to another soul, and taming my fears and insecurities to the higher power and remaining calm and composed as I would seeing snowfall so light moving with the breeze downhill with a smile on my face and no worries in my mind, or as simple as waking up to a sunrise, feeling it’s warmth on my right cheek and listening to the birds chirping away as they fly out of the trees that surround the house set on the slope. The serenity! The view! The feeling!”
It is quite frequent you hear someone not feeling so good. It is; therefore, my request to the reader to do whatever you can to help them, the least you can do is offer them a glass of water 😁
